Wedding car Etiquette & Myths

As well as providing a well presented chauffeur and car for your wedding transport in Lancashire, we also understand the old traditions must still be in place.

1) The chauffeur should always walk round the rear of the carrage, this dates back to the time when horses were the main power for transporting you to your wedding. If the driver were to pass in front of the horses, there would be a risk of distracting the horses.

2) A Bride traditionaly had a white dress, why?????? The correct reason is that the bride with the whitest dress was presumed that her family had enough wealth to aford the pureest white cotton - true.

3) Your choice of wedding car can conbine the requirements for a) Somthing old, b) Somthing borrowed, c) Somthing blue (at least a hint of blue on every wedding car we own)

4) The bride must be at least 1 minute late, its also tradition for the bride to leave a little worry in the mind of the groom.

5) Tin cans, tying tin cans to the back bumper of a wedding car ensures that all evil spirits are be warded off.

6) I'm working on this list and will continue soon.......
